Sekundarni povzetek:	Children with special needs are commonly faced with faliure due to their special needs. Therefore they gradually develop a belief that thay can not influence their academic success, which leads to passivity. Learned helplessness influences academic, emotional and motivational aspect of their lives. Children who are facing learned helplessness tend to generalize their belief that they do not have an influence on their success on different areas of their lives. In our diploma thesis we wanted to explore/study how the phenomenon of learned helplessness affects children with special needs. Beside that we wanted to explore the efficient strategies for overcoming learned helplessness and their role in the education of children with special needs. Moreover we wanted to search for some indications for specific strategies for overcoming learned helplessness in Slovenian educational system. By study of literature we discovered, that most of the strategies for overcoming learned helplessness for the population of children with special needs originates form cognitive behavioral therapy. We came across a study that shows better achievements in children with special needs that were tought the strategies for overcoming learned helplessness oposed to those who were not. Therefore it is essential to include strategies for overcoming learned helplessness to education of children with special needs, especially because learning helplessness is know for its lifelong effect on different areas of our lives .

Povzetek (ePrints):	Otroci s posebnimi potrebami, se zaradi svojih primanjkljajev, v šolskem okolju pogosto soočajo z neuspehom. Pri njih se ob številnih neuspehih postopoma utrdi prepričanje, da z lastno dejavnostjo ne morejo vplivati na učno uspešnost. To prepričanje jih pogosto vodi v pasivnost. Naučena nemoč pri otroku vpliva tako na šolsko kot tudi na emocionalno ter motivacijsko področje. Otroci svoje prepričanje o tem, da nad doseganjem uspeha nimajo vpliva, kasneje prenesejo v različne situacije, tudi take, kjer bi sicer lahko dosegali uspeh. V diplomskem delu sva želeli preučiti, kako pojav naučene nemoči vpliva na učence s posebnimi potrebami ter kakšen način pomoči in podpore potrebujejo, da ta pojav uspešno premagajo. Posledično sva preučili ter razmišljali o tem, zakaj je delo na tem področju za učitelje in strokovne delavce, sploh pomembno. Zanimalo naju je tudi, kakšne so smernice za delo z učenci s posebnimi potrebami, ki so razvili pojav naučene nemoči in ali so sploh eksplicitno izpostavljene. Preko študija virov in literature sva ugotovili, da večina strategij, ki se uporabljajo za premagovanje ter prepečevanje pojava naučene nemoči pri otrocih s posebnimi potrebami, izhaja iz kognitivne modifikacije vedenja. Pomembno je tudi dejstvo, da učenci s posebnimi potrebami, ki so bili deležni podpore in pomoči na področju premagovanja ter prerečevanja naučene nemoči, dosegajo veliko boljši uspeh kot tisti, ki pomoči niso bili deležni. Zaradi tega dejstva ter vseživljenjske prisotnosti in vpliva, ki ga ima pojav naučene nemoči v kombinaciji s primanjkljaji otrok s posebnimi potrebami, je ključno, da učitelji poznajo ter uporabljajo strategije za premagovanje ter preprečevanje pojava naučene nemoči pri teh otrocih.
