diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Varnost in policijsko delo
Povzetek
Diplomska naloga prikazuje problematiko nasilja nad profesorji v srednjih šolah v Prekmurju.
Kajti nasilje do njih, v njihovem poklicu narašča.

This thesis focuses on the issue of violence against professors in secondary schools in Prekmurje. We wanted to know how many of the professors participating in the survey feel safe in secondary schools in Prekmurje, in what way were they exposed to violence by pupils, parents, colleagues and others. We wanted to find the reason for the lack of discipline in schools and the insufficient training of professors on this topic. We wanted to know how often professors were victims of violent behaviour, how they reacted, what educational measures they introduced against attackers and whom they reported the attack. The research was carried out with a questionnaire, which was filled out by 53 respondents in four secondary schools in Prekmurje.
The survey revealed that violence in secondary schools in Prekmurje does exist and is increasingly present. The number of aggressive students in classrooms is also growing, and although teachers are afraid of them they enter the classroom without fear. So far, teachers feel good and safe in their work environment. But they were already attacked outside of their working hours by pupils, parents and others. A higher level of violence among colleagues was also established, but they continue to perform their duties. Teachers do not report to their colleagues and the school management about verbal and physical violence, less of them inform the parents. They did not have trainings on the topic of violence against professors, but they want to participate in such trainings, because they believe they are necessary since violence in schools is increasingly present. The finding shows that professors are not trained to deal with aggressive pupils.
Making changes to the punishment system and more discipline in school would provide a solution for the violence against professors. The correct education of individuals and timely discovery of signs of aggression as well as reporting and discussions about aggression would be better for the profession. Above all professors have to take care of that with timely reporting about the situation in class, because now many cases are covered up. |
