Povzetek

V magistrski nalogi smo ugotavljali, kaj se dogaja z vidika managementa, z reševanjem konfliktov in komunikacijo v organizaciji.

Sekundarni povzetek: The master's thesis presents management of conflict resolution and communication within an organization. Conflict resolution is an important part of every organization since it ensures employee satisfaction in the workplace. Communication ensures that conflicts do not occur in such a large extent; however, if they do, good communication enables the conflicts to be solved quickly and efficiently. In the first part of the master's thesis, we focused on the theoretical part and explained certain terms of communication and conflict resolution. We described some definitions related to conflicts within organizations as well as some general definitions. A conflict is an opposition that arises due to disagreements between the members of an organization or between individuals in everyday life. It is highly important for the resulting conflict to be resolved in an appropriate manner. In this section, we explained some methods, strategies, and manners of conflict resolution. Master’s thesis includes some concepts of communication, since communication itself is vital for conflict resolution. The better is the communication between the members of an organization the more effective is the conflict resolution. Moreover, due to a good flow of information, conflicts do not even occur. We described some general definitions of communication; however, we focused more on the description of business and organizational communication as well as on the process of communication within the organization. We described some types of communication, interruptions and obstacles in the process of communication. The second part of the master’s thesis refers to the survey, conducted in the selected organization. We presented some basic data of the x organization. Furthermore, we explained in detail the results of the survey. The survey included 50 administrative workers, who had to answer closed questions. The data obtained led us to some interesting insights, with the help of which we could confirm or refute our hypotheses. On the basis of the results of the survey we presented key findings and possible improvements. My master’s thesis showed that conflicts are a continual part in the x organization. A significant impact on their resolution has communication. Communication is hereby nothing but a good flow of information from one part of the organization to another. If the flow of communication is good, then the communication in the organization is also good, since the information are current and do not get lost. Good communication enables the employees to resolve possible conflicts by communicating to each other. What is more, with a good communication eventual conflicts can even be prevented.
