diplomsko delo

THE ROLE OF PARENTS IN CHILDREN'S MOTOR DEVELOPMENT IN URBAN AND RURAL SETTLEMENTS |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In the thesis, entitled The Role of Parents in the Motor Development of Children in Urban and Rural Areas, we wanted to determine the influence of parents and place of residence on the child's motor development. In particular, we wanted to determine whether there are significant differences between families who live in urban areas and those who live in rural settlements. The this is consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part presents the motor development of children, its stage sand levels, each motor ability, and factors that affect the child's motor development. Furthermore, we present the family, its functions, sports in the family, the importance of practicing sport for children and adults, the family's possibility of spending free time and the influence of place of residence on child's motor development. The empirical part of the this is includes search findings, collected by a questionnaire on a sample of 132 parents of children aged 5 to 6 years from three urban and three rural kinder gardens. The purpose of this study was to determine whether parents influence the motor development of their child according to their place of residence. We have come to the following conclusions: the majority of parents is sports active several times a week; the biggest obstacle for physical activity of the parents and the parents with children is the lack of time; parents are sports active together with their children several times a week or at least on weekends; 61 % of children are not involved in any kind of organized sports practice; children from rural areas are less sports active than children from urban areas; children whose parents are or were physically active are more active than children whose parent are not sports active. |
