diplomsko delo

Sekundarni povzetek: In the thesis, we demonstrated the development of a mobile application for indoor navigation called „Virtual guide through a building“. The application is developed for the Android platform. It allows the user to determine his current location in the room, choose a destination and calculate the shortest route between two points. For the user's better orientation, the application follows his movement in the room and checks, whether he is moving in the right direction. If is detects moving in the wrong direction, it warns the user and then recalculates the shortest route to his destination. We presented and described the QR code, the Kalman filter, and the Dijkstra's algorithm for finding the shortest route, a pedometer, a cell phone and sensors that are available to us. We checked the application performance on the building G2 of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Tests were carried out in such a way that we have chosen the start and end point, checked how accurately the shortest route was calculated, and then we have walked around this route. The results showed that the shortest route was calculated accurately, but slight inaccuracies were found in tracing the user.
