Povzetek
Namen raziskave je ugotoviti, ali obstaja povezanost med gibalno učinkovitostjo in telesno samopodobo glede na spol. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 630 otrok iz severovzhodne Slovenije, starih od 9 do 11 let, od tega je bilo 311 dečkov in 319 deklic. Meritve so potekale na posameznih osnovnih šolah severovzhodne Slovenije. Za ugotavljanje gibalne učinkovitosti je bilo uporabljenih šest testov Eurofit testne baterije ter dodaten test, in sicer hoja nazaj skozi obroče. Podatki o spolu, starosti in telesni samopodobi so bili pridobljeni s pomočjo poslovenjene različice francoske verzije vprašalnika za ugotavljanje telesne samopodobe mladostnikov The Physical Self-Inventory - short form. Za ugotavljanje povezanosti posameznih gibalnih sposobnosti s telesno samopodobo je bila uporabljena regresijska analiza. Statistično značilnost smo ugotavljali na ravni tveganja p % 0,05. Rezultati kažejo, da je koleracija med telesno samopodobo in gibalno učinkovitostjo pri dečkih in deklicah statistično značilna. Pri dečkih na telesno samopodobo najbolj vplivata aerobna vzdržljivost in eksplozivna moč nog. Pri deklicah pa je učinek gibalnih sposobnosti na telesno samopodobo zelo majhen, slednje posvečajo več pozornosti zunanjemu videzu kot gibalnim aktivnostim. Tukaj bi lahko izpostavili, da so deklice v obdobju zgodnje adolescence prav zaradi hitrejšega zorenja njihovega telesa, v primerjavi z dečki, bolj obremenjene in skrbne glede svoje zunanjosti. Ugotavljamo, da sta gibalna učinkovitost in telesna samopodoba med seboj bolj povezani pri dečkih kot pri deklicah. Slaba gibalna učinkovitost pa je brez dvoma eden od dejavnikov, ki vpliva na nizko telesno samopodobo.

The purpose of the research was to determine whether there is a connection between movement efficiency and physical self-image according to gender. There were 630 children from north-eastern Slovenia, aged from 9 to 11 years, included in the research, among which were 311 boys and 319 girls. The measurements took place in individual schools in north-eastern Europe. To determine movement efficiency, six tests of Eurofit Test Battery and an additional test (walking through hoops backwards) were used. The information about the gender, age and physical self-image was gathered with the help of the Slovene version of the French questionnaire for determination of movement efficiency among youth (The Physical Self-Inventory - short form). To determine the correlation of individual motor skills with physical self-image a regression analysis was used. Statistical significance was examined at the risk level of p % 0,05. The results show that the correlation between physical self-image and movement efficiency among boys and girls is statistically significant. The factors influencing the physical self-image of boys the most are aerobic endurance and explosive leg power. The effect of movement competences on physical self-image of girls is very small, since the girls pay more attention to outer appearance than physical activities. It has been determined that movement efficiency and physical self-image are more closely connected in boys than in girls and that low self-image is most certainly influenced by poor movement efficiency. |
