Sekundarni povzetek: | Service Oriented Architecture is an evolution of distributed computing systems. It is based on the concepts of interoperable services. Service Oriented Architecture does not provide sufficient architectural support for application and information integration. One of its noticeable deficiencies is its basic and limited fault handling mechanism which presents problems when building complex and crucial applications. Powerful and flexible fault handling abilities in business processes and orchestrated web services play a critical role in implementation of business process models. In this doctoral thesis we focus on introducing a formal model for fault handling mechanism within Service Oriented Architecture. The proposed model defines policies and fault handling strategies. It aims to make business processes more fault tolerant. We explain it with a mathematical representation. The proposed model addresses fault handling issues of process oriented executable languages in Service Oriented Architecture. Our model does not depend on a particular process language. We evaluate the feasability of the proposed model by translating it into Business Process Execution Language. Business Process Execution Language represents de-facto standard for orchestrating web services inside Service Oriented Architecture. Furthermore, we measure complexity of business process models by using process metrics. This way we check the efficiency of the proposed model. |
