Abstract

Secondary title: PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ART ACTIVITIES IN THE FIRST THREE YEARS
Secondary abstract: In this diploma thesis, we wanted to show and emphasize how very much important fine arts education is for the development of pre-school children. The survey was used to determine which activities are appropriate for children in the first age group, and how to plan and implement appropriate fine arts activities that children will like. In addition, we wanted to find out children's feelings and reactions to the means offered. Through offered activities, we wanted the children to gain new experience, look for new ways, and experiment with offered means in their unique way. We used a non-experimental, descriptive method of empirical educational research. The research was carried out in the kindergarten Vrtci občine Žalec, where we work. The sample for the survey consisted of seven children aged one to three years. Children experienced no problems with common creative activities, in fact, we were even taken by surprise because no conflict occurred; on the contrary, children showed a good will for cooperation, agreed to share materials and tools, and helped and encouraged each other - especially the older encouraged the younger. All the materials immediately attracted the children who started to explore and play with them, thus additional motivation was not needed. Children's attention was above expectations as all children were very curious and immediately started to explore and create, and what is most important, children enjoyed their activities.
