Abstract

V diplomskem delu je predstavljeno dimenzioniranje polžnega gonila za pogon sledilnika sonca. V uvodnem delu je predstavljen problem z materialom polžnika in zastavljeni so cilji diplomskega dela. Sledita dve poglavji o teoretičnih osnovah polžnih dvojic. Najprej so predstavljene določilne veličine polžaste dvojice in preračun sil, kasneje pa še trdnostni preračuni glede na različne kriterije. V nadaljevanju je zasnova in preizkušanje prvih polžastih dvojic, kjer je ugotovljeno da je obstoječa geometrija načeloma neprimerna zaradi upogiba gredi polža, vendar se da problem rešiti z nitriranjem polžnika. Ker je postopek nitriranja za podjetje predrag je v naslednjem poglavju predstavljena geometrijsko drugačna polžasta dvojica, ki ima večjo upogibno togost in manjše upogibne sile. V analizi rezultatov je prikazana razlika koeficientov varnosti, kjer je razvidno, da se kljub dvakratnemu povečanju koeficienta varnosti proti upogibu gredi polža ostali koeficienti varnosti niso bistveno spremenili. V zaključku je ugotovljeno, da standard DIN 3996 ne predvideva jekel za poboljšanje kot materiala za polžnike in da ne podaja spodnje omejitve za ubirni kot.

Secondary title: Dimensioning of worm drive for sun trackers
Secondary abstract: In this diploma paper the dimensioning of a worm drive for sun trackers is presented. In the introduction the problem of unusual material for a worm gear is shown and the goals of a diploma paper are set, followed by two theoretical chapters about worm gears, which include definitions and calculation methods for worm gear pairs with 90 degree shaft angle. Afterwards the first design of worm gear pair is presented with test results. There it is noted that nitriding is a suitable heat treatment for the worm gear and carburizing for the worm. Because the company claimed nitriding is too expensive, some geometry change was done, but it had to be within limits of existing housing. That meant axis distance and bearing locations should remain the same. Therefore only the pressure angle was reduced, the pitch circle of a worm was increased and the pitch circle of a worm gear was decreased. This change caused less deflection of a worm axis and therefore better running conditions, so nitrding is no longer needed. In the results section there is an absolute and a relative comparison of various safety coefficients for “old” and “new” geometry. There is also a comparison of deflection safety and root safety depended on pressure angle with other variables fixed. At the end it is determined that standard DIN 3996 does not contain information about certain factors if tempered steel is used as a worm gear material and there are also no limitations for pressure angle.
