diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Organizacija in management kadrovskih in izobraževalnih sistemov
Abstract
Zdravi zaposleni so ključni element doseganja uspešnosti podjetja.

The influence of physically active employee the organization |
Secondary abstract: |
Every person is primarily responsible for their own health and wellbeing. People that move enough, have a healthy diet, and avoid alcohol and cigarettes, are more resistant, feel better and perform their work more easily. We spend an important part of our life at the workplace, therefore it is important that the employer invests in the employees' wellbeing. This can also be done through ensuring a healthy diet at the workplace, promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging and facilitating physical activity: healthy employees are key to achieving a company's success.
This diploma dissertation looks at the physical, movement activity as one of the main factors contributing to people's health and consequently also leading to the success of a company that employs workers who engage in physical activity.
In the framework of the dissertation, a research survey was carried out to test what the workers and management think about the impact of the physical activities at the workplace. The results showed that both workers and management were aware of their positive impact, as physical activities contribute to people feeling better, foster better interpersonal relations and favourably affect the way the employees perform their work. Both employers and employees also agreed that a physically active worker gives a positive contribution to the company.
The employers must be well aware of their social responsibility as regards the protection of the employees' health. Furthermore, they must offer proper physical exercises and a healthy diet, and appropriately motivate the employees towards leading a healthy lifestyle.
Practice in richer countries shows that such care for the employees brings benefits both to the company and to the individual, as well as to the country by extension. |
