Abstract

Njene finomotorične spretnosti smo preverili z dvema inštrumentarijema (ABC gibanja 2 in Bruininks-Oseretsky test motoričnih sposobnosti).

Secondary title: Programme to encourage the development of fine motor skills with a girl with developmental delay
Secondary abstract: Movement plays an important role in the integral development of a child. Good motor skills facilitate learning and thus they consequently have a positive impact on improved learning success. The theoretical part presents the importance and role of gross motor skills and its relationship to the development of fine motor skills. More specifically, we have focused on the following: the course of development of fine motor skills, the impact fine motor skills have on the child and we have also looked at which fine motor skills should already be developed when the child enters the school environment. We present links between fine motor skills along with their performance in different learning areas. Based on the scientific literature, we have created a program to encourage the development of fine motor skills. We have carried out a case study in which has participated a six-year-old girl with substantial fine motor deficits. Due to a slow development, her schooling has been delayed. Her fine motor skills were checked by two instruments (ABC movement 2 and Bruininks Oseretsky test of motor proficiency). Testing was performed at the beginning and at the end of the treatment. In the meantime, we have implemented an individually designed program to encourage the development of fine motor skills. The results of the final test have showed that the girl has progressed in all the tasks of instruments ABC movement 2. She has also advanced in the majority of the tasks pertaining to Bruininks-Oseretsky test of motor proficiency. She has achieved a minimally lower result at the two tasks and in four tasks the result has proved to be the same as in the initial testing.
