diplomsko delo visokošolskega strokovnega študija Organizacija in management kadrovskih in izobraževalnih sistemov
Abstract

Impact of individual factors on health absenteeism in Health Insurance Institute of Slovenija, regional unit of Maribor |
Secondary abstract: |
Absenteeism caused by medical reasons is a major problem for most work organizations. Often, absenteeism in the workplace leads to lower work productivity, disruptive work processes, high costs for compensation payments and replacement workers, and overburdening of employees present at the workplace, which consequently affects their satisfaction. Employees' satisfaction in the workplace is crucial because it has an impact on absenteeism due to health problems in the company, which also results in the productivity of employees and related work performance.
The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part presents the basic characteristics of absenteeism caused by medical reasons. We also examined how absenteeism and measures to prevent it are managed by employees, companies, and the state.
In the second, empirical part of the diploma thesis a study in the field of absenteeism is presented. Its aim was to analyze the impact of individual factors on medical absenteeism at The Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZZZS), regional unit Maribor. The organizational chart and the staffing structure of ZZZS of Maribor are presented in terms of gender, age and education. This is followed by a description of the analysis of the impact of individual factors (demographic factors, factors of the working environment and influence of the family) on absenteeism. We found out that in ZZZS of Maribor the level of absenteeism for employees older than 40 years is not higher than for employees who are under 40 years of age, and that the level of absenteeism among employees is the same regardless of the level of education. The results also showed that gender does not affect the level of absenteeism. |
