Abstract

Zdravo prehranjevanje otrok in mladostnikov je v današnjem času predmet številnih raziskav, ki kažejo, da je število mladostnikov, ki so neustrezno prehranjeni, veliko. Razlog za to je tudi nezdravo prehranjevanje. Z izobraževanjem lahko vplivamo na osveščanje mladih, da se bodo pri izbiri živil odločali za bolj zdrave izbire. Učna uspešnost je med drugim odvisna tudi od izbire ustrezne metode dela. Prehranske karte omogočajo spoznavanje hranilne in energijske vrednosti živil, ustrezno kombiniranje živil in načrtovanje prehrane. Zasnovane so tako, da kombinirajo tekstovne in slikovne informacije (osnovni podatki, slike, prehranski semafor in porcije). Namen dela je bil ugotoviti učinkovitost kart pri obravnavi vsebine »mleko in mlečni izdelki«. Z raziskavo, v katero je bilo vključenih 28 osnovnošolcev, smo želela preveriti učinkovitost prehranskih kart v učnem procesu, pridobiti mnenje učencev o samih kartah (videz, informativnost) kot tudi mnenje, ali so se zaradi kart več naučili. Rezultat pedagoškega eksperimenta je pokazal pozitiven vpliv vključitve prehranskih kart v učni proces. Učencem so se karte zdele zanimive, menili so tudi, da so si zaradi aktivnosti, ki so vključevale karte, zapomnili več.

Secondary title: Checking the effectiveness of nutrition cards
Secondary abstract: Today, children and youth eating healthy is a topic of numerous researches showing that the number of improperly nourished young people is high, one of the reasons being unhealthy eating. By educating, we can influence the young to opt for healthier selections when choosing their food. How successful this education is, depends also on selecting an appropriate work method. Nutrition cards enable learning about nutritional and energy values, appropriate food combinations and nutritional planning. They are conceived in such a way that they combine textual and pictorial information (basic information, photos traffic-light labelling, and portions). The purpose of this thesis was to establish how efficient the cards are when dealing with milk and dairy products. The research which comprised 28 elementary-school pupils tried to verify if the nutrition cards are an efficient part of the pedagogic process, and learn what pupils think about them (appearance, informativeness) and whether they believe that the cards helped them learn more. The results of this pedagogic experiment show a positive influence of nutrition cards in the pedagogic process. While pupils found them interesting, they also believed to remember more due to activities in which cards were used.
