Poškodovanih je bilo 53 vseh preizkušancev (54 %), pri čemer so skupaj utrpeli 64 poškodb. Poškodovanih je bilo 34 igralcev (59 % vseh igralcev) in 19 igralk (46 % vseh igralk). There were 58 male players involved, aged from 16 to 33, the average age being 21.4 ± 0.67, and 41 female players, aged from 15 to 54, the average age being 25.0 ± 1.52. There were 53 injured players among the tested ones (54%) and they suffered in total 64 injuries. There were 34 male players (59% of all male players) and 19 female players (46% of all female players) injured. The prevailing injuries among men were ankle injuries (38%) followed by knee injuries (24%) and among women the percentage of the two injuries was more balanced (ankles 24%, knees 21%). A sprain or ligament injury has proven to be the most common injury (25%), among men it presented 29% of all injuries, while among women it was 22%, where muscle injuries were just as common. 71% of all injuries were traumatic and 21% of them were the result of overuse. 54% of all injuries happened during practice, among women this was 56%. During games men suffered 48% of injuries and women suffered 44% of injuries. 45% of injuries were not a result of physical contact, while there were 35% of injuries that resulted from having physical contact with another player. Most injuries were severe (28%), while negligible, lesser and moderate injuries amounted to 24% each. The injury incidence did not differ among the two sexes.
