Secondary abstract: | The thesis describes a church music document, the motu proprio "Tra le sollecitudini", and its impact on the development of church music in Slovenia after its issue. It analyses the musical reforms of Council of Trent, the state of church music in Slovenia in the 19th century and the attempts to reform the church music of the time. It then briefly presents the motu proprio and its fundamental reforms, the response of then Slovenian church music experts and the Slovenian media to its issue as well as the successfulness or unsuccessfulness of practical implementation of the reform of church music in Slovenia. |
