Abstract

Predvsem so to mediji v javnih prostorih, ki z nami vizualno komunicirajo. V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali elemente vizualne komunikacije in želeli dokazati, da z njimi prostor skozi videz prenaša svoje sporočilo ljudem. S pomočjo tega smo poskušali ugotoviti, kaj prostor sporoča in primerjatI, kaj prostor z enako funkcijo sporoča v Mariboru in kaj v Dubaju.

Secondary title: Comparison of visual communication of public places in Maribor and Dubai
Secondary abstract: We are affected by visual communication, practically everywhere we go. That overexposure results in the public paying less attention to the appearance of places they visit. In this thesis, we researched different elements of visual communication through the use of descriptive method and literature. With it, we were trying to prove that public places are using these elements to visualy communicate with people and tried to find out what these messages are. We also compared visual messages of the public places in Maribor in Dubai. Evidence suggests that, even though overexposure of public to media persists, the appearance of these places still communicates with public and transmits messages.
