Abstract

Osrednja tema magistrskega dela so tehnologije WS-* in storitveno usmerjena arhitektura.

Secondary title: Analysis of acceptance and use of ws-* technologies for developing contemporary service-oriented solutions
Secondary abstract: The main topic of the master's thesis are WS-* technologies and service-oriented architecture. Our main goal was to analyze acceptance and use of WS-* technologies for development of contemporary service-oriented solutions. We did this with the help of an online survey, which belongs to empirical research methods. With studying literature we defined key data to use in the survey. We primarily wanted to determine the extent to which standardized WS-* technologies are used, what are the main reasons for using or for not using WS-* and user-defined aspects of WS-* technologies. We included extended technology acceptance model (TAM2), with which we examined the impact of various factors on the use of WS-*. On the basis of a relatively small number of fully completed surveys, we came to the conclusion that the topic is not close to the target group of respondents. We also found out that respondents use selected WS-* technologies mainly for implementing solutions that must meet a high quality level and in many cases the use of WS-* is not necessary. The research could be continued by limiting to large companies in which they develop high-quality service-oriented solutions.
