Moralna kompetentnost slovenskih mladostnikov

Abstract

Moralna psihologija je veja psihologije, ki se ukvarja z raziskovanjem moralnosti ter razvoja in merjenja le-te. Cilj našega magistrskega dela je prevesti, prirediti in aplicirati takšen test na slovenskih mladostnikih, konkretno test moralne kompetentnosti MCT. Po pregledu obstoječe literature, teoretske podlage za pojav moralnega vedenja, razvoja moralnosti in moralne razsodnosti ter različnih metod merjenja posameznikove moralnosti smo zastavili hipoteze in jih preverjali. Za namene izračuna kompetentnosti moralne razsodnosti slovenskih mladostnikov smo aplicirali preveden in prirejen vprašalnik MCT, ki poda C-indeks - rezultat moralne razsodnosti. Nato smo opravili analizo povprečja C-indeksa za vzorec, t-testa za razlike povprečja izračunanega C-indeksa po spolu in starostnih skupinah, analizo ocenjene težavnosti testa ter analizo vpliva starostne skupine na stopnjo moralnosti po Kohlbergu. Ugotovili smo, da se dobljeni rezultati ne skladajo z nekaterimi teoretskimi predpostavkami, na katerih sloni vprašalnik MCT. Merljive razlike moralne kompetentnosti med moškimi in ženskami tako ni bilo, prav tako spol posameznika ne vpliva, v katero stopnjo po Kohlbergu posameznik spada. Relativno blizu mejne vrednosti se je izkazala statistična pomembnost vpliva starostne skupine na stopnjo moralnega razvoja po Kohlbergu. Tudi predpostavke, da bodo sodelujoči ocenjevali apliciran test kot zahteven, po rezultatih sodeč, ne moremo potrditi.

Secondary abstract:	Moral psychology is a field of psychology that studies morality, its development, and measurements. The aim of our thesis is to translate, adapt, and apply the Moral Competence Test to Slovenian youth. After reviewing the existing literature, theoretical background of the phenomenon of moral behaviour, development of morality, moral judgement, and various measurement methods of individual's morality, we formed hypotheses and verified them. In order to calculate the moral judgement competence of Slovenian youth, we have applied translated and adapted MCT Questionnaire that gave us a C-index, which is the result of moral competence. Later, we have analysed the average value of the C-index of the sample, T-test for calculated differences of the C-index according to the gender and age groups, evaluated test difficulties and the effect of the age group on the stages of morality according to Kohlberg. We have concluded that the results obtained are not comparable with some theoretical presumptions that are the base of the Moral Competence Test. There were no measurable differences of moral competence between men and women. Gender does not affect the individual's level of Kohlberg's stages of moral development. Also, the influence of the age groups on the same stages of moral competence proved to be relatively near the limit of the statistical significance. According to the results, we also cannot confirm the presumption, that all participants will evaluate the applied test as challenging.
