| Secondary title: | Influence of auxetic level on the forbidden frequency gaps of chiral structures |
| Secondary abstract: | This master thesis presents the mechanical and frequency analyses of auxetic chiral structures. In dependence of geometrical parameters, a Poisson’s ratio study was done with explicit dynamic analyses in the program LS-DYNA. The presented results shows the influence of geometrical parameters on the Poisson’s ratio. In addition, a frequency study is presented with the goal to determinate the influence of auxetic level on forbidden frequency gaps. Bloch wave analysis was used to calculate forbidden frequency gaps in the program ABAQUS. From these results, the influence of auxetic level on the size of forbidden frequency gaps is shown. It was found out, that with increasing the auxetic level new forbidden frequency gaps appear. |
