Abstract
Raziskovalne metode: Uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo dela in kvantitativno metodologijo raziskovanja. Pri izdelavi vprašalnika smo si pomagali s teorijo Calliste Roy “adaptacijski model”. Za zbiranje in urejanje podatkov smo uporabili urejevalnik besedil Microsoft Word in Excel ter podatke nato predstavili tabelarno. Anketiranje smo izvedli s pomočjo odprtokodne aplikacije EnKlikAnketa.

Nursing students`attitudes towards treatment of hospitalized children |
Secondary abstract: |
Theoretical bases: A good relationship plays a major role in providing a comprehensive and high-quality nursing care. Forming a good relationship between students, children and their parents/guardians and healthcare workers is a result of many influences, linked with one another. Main cause for an inferior relationship usually originates from poor communication skills. Nursing students often encounter poor communication skills during their clinical training, especially in the paediatric field.
Research methods: Descriptive method and quantitative research method of work were used. Callista Roy’s “adaptation model” was used when designing the questionnaire. Text editors Microsoft Word and Excel were used for collecting and sorting data, which was then presented in a table. The survey was conducted using open code application EnKlikAnketa.
Results: 100 students took part in the research. 92% of them believe that students have a good attitude and approach when caring for hospitalized children. They expressed a desire for training in communication skills, 48% state that they were not provided with adequate directions on communicating and establishing a good relationship with children in simulation-based training at their schools.
Discussion and conclusion: Everybody involved in child care contributes to relationship. Relationship deterioration occurs due to fear, lack of trust and inadequate communication. Good relationship is a key component in caring for hospitalized children. |
