Secondary title: | Interdisciplinary use of weather station in elementary school |
Secondary abstract: | This master thesis presents the interdisciplinary use of a weather station in elementary school. Interdisciplinary use links subject teachers of technique and technology, physics and geography. An illustrative example of cross-curricular integration is a wind speed-measuring device. In the first part, I present my own weather station. I describe the components and explain them. The core of the weather station is the Arduino UNO microcomputer. Sensors for measuring quantities are connected to the microcomputer. The weather station has its own power supply via a battery powered by a solar module, which is charging the battery. The battery supplies the microcomputer with power. The data of measured quantities is being sent to the website using wireless module. In the second part, I display the interdisciplinary use of the weather station in various school subjects in the elementary school. |
