Abstract

Dekleta so s pomočjo mentorja spoznale trg dela in potrebe okolice, utrjevale pisanje zaposlitvenih ponudb in vlog, kritično pregledovale življenjepise in odgovarjale na najpogostejša zaposlitvena vprašanja.

Secondary title: Work club for young people as a form of assistance to unemployed youth
Secondary abstract: Today young people are the most vulnerable group in the society considering the unemployment topics. They are exposed to drastic changes in the unemployment market area. The contemporary situation is even more serious due to the fact that formal education is no longer enough when searching for a job. Therefore, young people are in a no secure position and thus they should achieve different working and social skills that they could act in the competitive and unpredictable futuristic society. The following thesis analyses the special support programme for the young unemployed people under the age 29, called ‘The unemployment club for young adults’. The programme deals specifically with this group of people (young people under 29) and explains how to receive/gain new competence skills, how to make their own career plan, give some activities and meet the potential employers through various events. In the theoretical part, I introduced the general unemployment facts and then continued with those of jobless young people, showed the negative effects on their lives, discussed the unemployment policy and support programme. Then I wanted to emphasize the critical status of young people in the employment market. I gave some suggestions how to increase and improve their position with the help of social pedagogics. In the empirical part, I tried to discover why the unemployed chose a certain programme and consequently got a job afterwards. I made a half-structured interview with three participants and their mentor who is an employee of the ZRSZ (Slovenian Bureau of Labour). I studied how all of them (also their mentor) estimated different competence skills and the use of them. The survey of this research is very positive. I found out that the supporting programme could help to receive the early employment. Some facts: the participants gained the important skills; they empowered their confidence, ambition, self-intuition, communication and organizational skills. They discovered the requirements of the employment market as well as those in the contemporary society. They learnt how to write a proper CV/resume and how to respond to most common questions. Mentor of the programme ensured that the programme offers the knowledge necessary to start a career and opens the door to employment area. The programme itself helped young participants socializing and developing social networking.
