(magistrsko delo)

Abstract

Namen: V magistrskem delu smo želeli ugotoviti pojavnost, oblike in dejavnike tveganja nasilja nad zaposlenimi v posebnem socialno varstvenem zavodu. Raziskovalna metodologija: Podatke v empiričnem delu smo pridobili s pomočjo strukturiranega vprašalnika Perception of Prevalence of Aggression Scale (POPAS) in na podlagi zapisa Poročila o incidentu med stanovalci in zaposlenimi v socialno varstvenem zavodu od leta 2015 do 2017. Podatke smo kvantitativno obdelali in analizirali. Rezultati: Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da so zaposleni močno izpostavljeni verbalnemu nasilju, kot so napadi brez jasnih groženj in pasivnemu nasilnemu vedenju. Manj so izpostavljeni fizičnemu in spolnemu nasilju.

Secondary title: ǂThe ǂincidence of violent behaviour of patients with mental disorders towards healthcare workers in nursing homes
Secondary abstract: Basis: Aggression and violence against health workers is growing, more than at other working places. On a global scale, aggression and violence against health workers aremotnja a national and global problem. Violent behavior is more common in patients with mental disorder. Purpose: In the master's thesis, we wanted to determine the occurence, forms and riskfactors of violence against employees in a special social care institution. Research methodology: We obtained data in the empirical part using the structured Perception of Prevalence of Aggression Scale (POPAS) and on the basis of the Report on the Incident Response between Residents and Employees in the Social Protection Institution from 2015 to 2017. The data was quantitatively processed and analyzed. Results: The results of the research have shown that employees are strongly exposed to verbal violence, such as attacks without clear threats and passive violent behavior. They are less exposed to physical and sexual violence. We also found that more than two thirds of the violence against employees is happening in secured departments, mostly in the afternoon. In more than half of cases, employees fill out the incident papers between residents and employees only occasionally or never. Risk factors for violence are deteriorated health status and consumption of psychoactive substances. Discussion and conclusion: In the workplace, health workers are exposed to various forms of violence. Management and all employees should be aware of the importance of reporting violent events. A uniform doctrine of zero tolerance towards violence should be adopted at the level of the institution and also of the state.
