magistrsko delo
Abstract

ǂThe ǂanalysis of effects of free trade agreement EU-Mexico on the Slovenian economy |
Secondary abstract: |
Globalization has re-shaped the economic landscape with rapidly changing patterns in trade and Foreign Direct Investment. Signing Economic Partnership, Political Coordination and Cooperation Agreement on December in 1997 was the most important milestone in economic cooperation between the EU and Mexico. The Global Agreement is one of the most comprehensive pacts ever made by the EU with a non-European country, and the first treaty determining relationship between respect for democracy and observance of rights.
In the master's thesis, we analysed the effects of EU-Mexico Free Trade Agreement on Slovenian economy. The results of our empirical research show that the agreement brought effects to both Slovenia and Mexico, however, these effects are minimal. Effects on the Slovenian economy are slightly higher, whereas effects on the Mexican economy are basically negligible. |
