Abstract
Danes se starši in predvsem vzgojiteljice predšolskih otrok velikokrat srečujejo z odložitvijo šolanja pri predšolskih otrocih. Le-ta je včasih dobra za otroka, drugič lahko škoduje. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz dveh delov, iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V prvem delu je predstavljen vrtec kot ustanova in njegova pomembna naloga za razvoj predšolskega otroka. Podrobneje je opisan vstop v osnovno šolo in možnosti odložitve šolanja pri predšolskem otroku. V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati raziskave o odložitvi šolanja pri predšolskih otrocih in mnenja staršev o tem. Vzorec zajema starše, ki imajo otroke vključene v Vrtec Velenje. Podatki, zbrani z anketnim vprašalnikom, so bili obdelani v programu SPSS. Zanimalo nas je, ali starši razmišljajo o odložitvi šolanja pri svojem predšolskem otroku glede na starost staršev, spol otroka in glede na čas obiskovanja vrtca. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da starši v skoraj polovici primerov ne razmišljajo o odložitvi šolanja pri svojem predšolskem otroku. Kljub temu so rezultati pokazali, da je manj kot polovica staršev odložila šolanje pri svojem otroku, pri čemer so bili pobudniki sami.

Nowadays parents as well as kindergarten teachers of pre-school children often meet the postponing of schooling of pre-school children. Sometimes the postpone can be evaluated as very acceptable for a child but in some cases it can be harmful, too. The diploma work consists of two parts: theoretical and empirical part. In the first part the kindergarten is presented as the institution as well as its important element for the development of a pre-school child. In the empirical part the results of the research about the postponing of schooling of pre-school children and the parents opinios about the postoping are given. The scheme includes only parents whose children visit kindergarten Velenje. The information collected with the inquiry were analysed with the program SPSS. We were intrested in the question: Do parents make their decisions about postponing of their pre-school child according to the age of parents, the gender of their child and the time of visiting the kindergarten. The results have shown that a half of the parents do not think about the postoping of their pre-school children at all. Nevertheless, the results show that a little bit less than a a half of the parents decided to postpone the pre-schooling of their child according to their own decision. |
