Abstract

Učinkovit način komuniciranja je danes ključnega pomena pri uveljavljanju, prepoznavanju in vrednotenju dobrih knjižničnih storitev. Pomembnosti odnosov z javnostmi se zavedajo tudi v Univerzitetni knjižnici Maribor. V obravnavani knjižnici so odnosi z javnostmi zasnovani v strategiji, pa vendar jih je treba načrtovati in jih jasno opredeliti v internih aktih knjižnice. Prav tako je smiselno posebej opredeliti notranje javnosti, ki so zelo pomembne za organizacijo, in tudi te vključiti v strategijo. Knjižnica mora preiti iz javnoinformacijskega modela k dvosmernemu simetričnemu modelu, ki temelji na raziskavah in skrbi za vzpostavitev in ohranjanje dobrih medsebojnih odnosov. Cilji odnosov z javnostmi v knjižnici bodo tako usmerjeni. V prihodnje bo lahko ugotoviti, ali so bili uspešni. V delu diplomskega projekta smo vseskozi spoznavali, da so odnosi z javnostmi ciljna dejavnost, ki zahteva celovit pristop obravnavanja. Je dinamičen proces, ki ga oblikuje vsebina in namen.

Secondary title: Analysis of public relations in the University of Maribor Library
Secondary abstract: An efficient way of communication is nowadays crucial for the assertion, recognition and evaluation of good library services. The University of Maribor Library is aware of the importance of good public relations. The above-mentioned library designed the public relations in its strategy, but it still has to plan and clearly define them in the library internal acts. The internal public relations should also be defined separately and implemented in the strategy, for they are important for the institution. The library has to move from the public information model to the two-way symmetrical model, which is based on research, and which establishes and preserves good interpersonal relations. The aims of the library public relations will in this way be clearly defined. Their success will in the future be easy to determine. The paper of the diploma project constantly proves that the public relations are a target activity with a comprehensive approach. It is a dynamical process, defined by the contents and the aim.
