Secondary title: | The development of real-time multiplayer games for browsers |
Secondary abstract: | Nowadays there is great demand for video games. Browsers can be used as platforms for games, which we have theoretically and practically verified in this thesis. We researched the field of network communication and what are the problematics of muliplayer gameplay in that environment. We looked at the key attributes of real-time games and how they work. We were also interested in the technologies and game engines which allow the development of these kind of games for browsers. We wrote a plan for a prototype in which we defined it’s requirements and the ways of development. Based on our gained knowledge we successfully created a prototype of a real-time multiplayer game for browsers. |
