Secondary abstract: | This paper focuses on production and testing of samples made with an Ultimaker 3 3D printer, using the focused deposition modelling (FDM) process. Main printing parameters of produced samples are infill density, infill pattern and position on build plate. The samples were subjected to a Charpy impact test and three point flexural test. The test results were evaluatated and compered to those of samples produced by an older Ultimaker 2 printer using the same parameter values. The comparison showed that samples produced by the Ultimaker 3 have better mechanical properties and are more consistent. |
