Abstract

Secondary title: Erasmus+ internship and student employability
Secondary abstract: When young people are transitioning on labor market they lack formal working experience and therefore do not represent competition to other candidates. This is why young people are increasingly encouraged to enhance their theoretical knowledge which they gain during education with practical knowledge and gain work experience in real working environment. One of the programs that enables international mobilities for the purpose of education and internships for young people in the European Union is Erasmus +. Young people that decide to have their internship in a foreign country gain working experience, they develop specific competences to carry out a particular profession and also soft skills that are becoming progressively important to employer in the employment procedure. In this diploma we will try to explore the employers’ perspective on international mobility, especially the effect of the international mobility on employability of the individual, based on foreign and Slovenian research. We will compare the results from the research with the opinions from Slovenian employers that are collaborating with intermediary agency X, which helps to organize internships in Slovenia.
