Abstract

Današnji čas zaznamujeta hitri razvoj tehnologije in digitalnih medijev. Ker primanjkuje raziskav o njihovem vplivu na odnose z javnostmi javnih podjetij in smernic za učinkovito uporabo družbenih omrežjih za odnose z javnostmi v javnih podjetjih, so predmet raziskovanja možnosti in priložnosti, kako lahko javna podjetja s pomočjo novih digitalnih medijev, še posebno družbenih omrežij, učinkoviteje komunicirajo s svojimi zainteresiranimi javnostmi in bolje izpolnjujejo svoje javne funkcije. Magistrska naloga je razdeljena na teoretični in empirični del. V prvem delu magistrske naloge so opisani teoretično-komunikacijski vidiki družbenih omrežij in vloga ter pomen odnosov z javnostmi v javnih podjetjih s teoretičnega vidika. V empiričnem delu naloge pa smo raziskovali uporabo družbenih omrežij pri odnosih z javnostmi v javnih podjetjih v Sloveniji in na Hrvaškem. Določeni so izzivi, s katerimi se pri uporabi družbenih omrežij soočajo službe za odnose z javnostmi v obravnavanih javnih podjetjih. Na koncu so podani rezultati raziskovanja in smernice za učinkovito uporabo družbenih omrežij za odnose z javnostmi v javnih podjetjih v Sloveniji in na Hrvaškem.

Secondary title: Possibilities of using social networks in public relations at public companies
Secondary abstract: Now is the time of rapid development in technology and digital media. Since the lack of research into their impact on public relations and proper guidelines how to use social media for public relations, public companies are exploring the possibilities and opportunities for the effective use of public media, especially social networks and how to communicate more effectively with their own public and better fulfil their public functions. The dissertation is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part of the dissertation describes the theoretical and communicative aspects of social networking; the role and importance of public relations from a theoretic point of view. The practical part of the research investigates how public companies in Slovenia and Croatia are using social networks. Challenges have been identified by using social networks for public relations services in public companies. Finally, the results of the research and guidelines for the effective use of public relations networks in public companies in Slovenia and Croatia are given.
