Abstract

Secondary title: Optimization of the manufacturing process of wooden chess pieces with 4 axis CNC machine
Secondary abstract: In the thesis, the optimization of the manufacturing process of wooden chess pieces with 4 axis CNC machine has been described. Chess pieces were firstly modeled in the SolidWorks software and then G code, which was required to control CNC machine was generated using SolidCAM software. In the process of multiple axis milling, various options of production were used, from the plane processing functions to various functions for 4 axis production. Based on the quality and CNC machine ability of the multiple axis milling, the most optimal process of manufacturing was described. It was found out, that operation Simoultaneous 5-Axis Milling gave us under given circumstances better quality results as Rotary machining, which is which is from the perspective of programming in SolidCAM faster and easier.
