diplomsko delo
Abstract

Development of Agility of Young Hockey Players |
Secondary abstract: |
Ice hockey is a team winter sport, which, due to its unique dynamics, is one of the most complex sports. The movement of a hockey player takes place under specific conditions - on an ice sheet with ice skates, a stick and all the necessary protective equipment. At the same time, the movements are quick and unpredictable. Due to the characteristic rapid changes in direction of the skates, the considerable amount of physical contact and the combination of various energy systems, a properly designed physical preparation is very important for a hockey player. The cornerstone of physical preparation of a hockey player is the appropriate development of movement abilities in early childhood when they are the most susceptible to learning. One of the more important motor skills of a hockey player is agility.
In the introduction, we presented the loads that occur during the dynamic game of ice hockey. Since children are our target group, we presented the principles of children's sports exercises and described some developmental characteristics of children that influence their movements and development of their physical abilities. Knowing the various factors that influence the child's physical development and the adapted methods and methods of training offers the coach a progressive and holistic approach in planning agility training.
In the body of thesis, we presented agility and its manifestations. We defined its occurrence in specific situations of the hockey game and on the basis of the findings we presented some topics that are suitable for the development of agility in young hockey players.
The purpose of the thesis was to present agility through available scientific literature, and to identify suitable ways and contents for the development of agility in young hockey players during the preparatory period. We have linked the existing knowledge in this field with our own experiences and experiences of long-standing hockey and fitness coaches, thus creating compact guidelines useful in both theory and practice. The thesis work will help coaches and all individuals in planning agility training for children. |
