magistrsko delo

Abstract

Vrtec daje otrokom spodbudno okolje in podporo pri procesu učenja pismenosti, saj so sleherni trenutek vpleteni v govorjenje, branje, poslušanje in pisanje.

Secondary language: English
Secondary title: Perception of initial and final voices in words and reading of children before entering school
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis is based on the phonemic awareness of a group of preschool children. The theoretical part offers a definition of the word literacy, an explanation of initial literacy and its factors, and describes all four communication factors, particularly reading. At the same time, it offers an insight into the language field in the Kindergarten Curriculum and emphasizes the phonemic awareness, it focuses on its importance, on the factors and on the connection of the phonemic awareness with reading. The empirical part focuses on a small group of preschool children aged 5 to 6, who were individually tested with four tasks. We were wondering whether the children will recognize the pictures, whether they will recognize the initial and final phoneme in the word, and whether they will read certain words. The conducted tests were interpreted for each child separately and for all children together. The results were then correlated with theory and a conclusion that phonemic awareness is the basis of performance in literacy was made. Kindergarten gives children a stimulating environment and support in the process of literacy learning since they are involved in speaking, reading, listening and writing every single moment.
