Abstract

Secondary title: The impact of quality on the organizational culture and climate in health care
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis deals with quality in health care and different quality indicators generally. The indicators of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECS), the PATH project and the six principles of quality are defined. On the basis of the six principles of quality, we have established how quality is linked to health and affects the satisfaction of employees in Slovenian hospitals. With the help of the Liekert chart, we found out what is the most important and the least important for employees in Slovenian hospitals in regards to work. The respondents assessed that the most important principle was the protection of patients, then the focus on patient treatment, the effectiveness of medical interventions, equality in the treatment of the patient, timely treatment, and the obviously least important principle was the effectiveness. In order to increase the relevance of the importance of the quality principles of the respondents, we used the ranking of these principles in the survey. On the basis of the results obtained, the respondents considered the most important, protection for patients, and the least important, effectiveness, in terms of - can we do something cheaper with the same effect? In this part, we found that the result of the most important and least important principle is the same regardless of measuring the importance of principle.
