Abstract

Podatke, obdelane z metodo frekvenčne distribucije in ▫$(\chi^2)$▫ -preizkusa, smo zbrali s pomočjo izdelave konkretnega izdelka, natančneje koledarja, in strukturiranega opazovanja s kontrolnim listom.

Secondary abstract: The master's thesis entitled The Integration of Processing Procedures into the Treatment Processes of Paper Materials among Fifth-grade Schoolchildren in the Municipality of Šmarje pri Jelšah consists of a theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part we described in more detail the motor development, motor skills and abilities, Piaget's theory of cognitive development, touched on the history of teaching techniques and technology, the types of work in class and the forms of teaching techniques and technology, carefully reviewed the curriculum for the course Natural Sciences and Engineering, examined the technical box with its materials for technical creation from 1st to 5th grade, the paper processing procedures, tools and devices for the processing of paper, and lastly described the town Šmarje pri Jelšah and the Primary school Šmarje pri Jelšah with its six branch schools. In the empirical part the differences in the ability to process paper with various tools and devices were identified on a non-random ad hoc sample of 36 pupils attending the 5th grade of the Primary school Šmarje pri Jelšah and its branch schools. In doing so, we were interested in the existence of differences in the correct and independent use of tools and devices and the accuracy of the paper processing itself according to gender and location. Data processed by the frequency distribution method and ▫$(\chi^2)$▫ - experiment were collected by the production of a specific product, a calendar, and structural observation with a control sheet. We checked the ability to cut with a cardboard knife, groove with a nail, fold, shear with scissors, pierce with ear pliers, clamp with riveting pliers, join with cold adhesive and join with split pins. It was found that girls were better able to handle the paper correctly and independently as well as displayed more precision in paper processing. Depending on the location, pupils from rural schools were more successful in the proper use of tools and independent processing than pupils from city schools, while urban pupils have shown more precision in the processing of paper.
