Abstract

Na začetku diplomske naloge smo najprej predstavili zgodovino vinske trte in vina. Primerjali smo vinogradništvo in vinarstvo, vinoteke, restavracije, kmečke gostilne in nastanitve.

Secondary title: ANALYSIS OF WINE TOURISM IN THE VIPAVA VALLEY
Secondary abstract: In the beginning of this thesis, we presented the history of grapevine and wine. The next chapter includes the definition of tourism and the development of tourism in Slovenia. Because of the title of this thesis, we also had to define the concepts of wine tourism, wine tourist and present their advantages and disadvantages. We looked for demographic, psychographic qualities and motivational factors of the wine tourist. Shortly we summarized viticulture and winemaking in Slovenia. Next, we described viticulture and winemaking in the narrower area of Primorska region and more in depth description of it in the Vipava valley. The region of Vipava valley has rich history and gastronomy. Vipava valley is famous for osmica, which draws people from other regions of Slovenia and neighbouring countries, mostly from Italy. Wine selection in the valley is very rich. There are many domestic wine varieties in the Vipava valley, of which the most famous are Zelen and Pinela. We compared the viticulture, winemaking, restaurants, tourist farms and accommodation of Vipava valley and Vienna, which is the capital city of our neighbouring county Austria. At the end of this thesis, we shorty presented the Vipava wine road and did an interview with winemaker about wine tourism in Vipava valley
