magistrsko delo

Abstract

S pomočjo vprašalnika smo ocenili splošno zadovoljstvo in odnos učencev do uporabe Sphero robota.

Secondary title: Programming Sphero robot in the last educational period of elementary school
Secondary abstract: The main topic of my master’s thesis is the description of the Sphero robot usage for introductory programming at the last educational period of the elementary school. In the theoretical part, the principles of physical computing were presented. The activities were devised in compliance with the constructionism, which as a learning method gives meaning to empirical learning. The programming of the Sphero robot was presented. It can be programmed by the Sphero Edu application, which is downloaded to a smart electronic device and which allows programming with visual blocks. The pupils programmed the Sphero robots so that the commands led them through the labyrinths. A type of teaching used at the activity was programming in pairs. In the empirical segment, it was described how the lesson with the Sphero robot went and the relationship of pupils towards the programming of Sphero robot was explored. Moreover, it was explored if the results of knowledge test on the Sphero robot was influenced by the prior knowledge of the Scratch. The sample size included 30 pupils enrolled in the third educational period of the chosen elementary school in Slovenia. During the research, the understanding of the concepts of programming was checked, which is why the knowledge tests were performed before and after the implementation of the new technology. With the help of the questionnaire, the overall satisfaction and relation of the pupils towards the Sphero robot was evaluated.
