Abstract

Secondary title: Comparison of buckwheat yield between conventional and conservation tillage
Secondary abstract: In our dissertation, we decided to try two different way how to prepare ground for sowing and then compare the results. We wanted to find out which ground suits (conventional treatment with plowing, conservation treatment and direct sowing in stubble) us best for buckwheat sowing (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) on stubble field. We wanted to find out how much time did we spend, and how much fuel did we use for a single proceeding preparing ground for sowing. We were also curios about the outcome of harvesting and final economical outcome. For all the processes we used the same tractor. Our conclusion was that the least time and fuel (60% lower than convetional soil treatment) was used in conservational preparing of ground – without extra treatment. A lot more time (210min/ha) and fuel was used (32l/ha) in conventional preparing of ground for sowing, but the growth and development of plants was more intense. Also, the growth of weed was more intense in conservational treatment of ground in comparison with conventional preparing of ground. The harvest was with conventional ground treatment bigger 968kg/ha (24% higher than the following conversation soil treatment), but the economical outcome has shown us, that we have more profit with conservational ground treatment (20% more than convetional soil treatment).
