Abstract

Evropska unija ima strogo, dobro definirano zakonodajo na področju gensko spremenjenih organizmov (GSO) oziroma rastlin in hrane hrane.

Secondary title: Comparison of judiciary regulation of genetically modified organisms in the European Union and Republic of North Macedonia
Secondary abstract: The European Union has a strictly defined legislation in the field of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or plants and food items. The legislation is focused on risk assessment and management in the event of an accident. Republic of North Macedonia has an older legislation, which does not follow the guidelines of international codes and good laboratory practice. The purpose of my thesis is to explain the hierarchy of legal regulation and proposed amendments and adaptation of legislation for new scientific discoveries, in order to ensure safety and to advise what will most likely be the Republic of Northern Macedonia have to change in this the area during the process of entering into the EU.
