Abstract

Za določanje Mg v prehranskih dopolnilih lahko uporabimo različne metode kot npr. AAS oz. atomsko absorpcijsko spektrometrijo ali kompleksometrično titracijo z EDTA. Pred analizo vzorcev smo optimizirali metodo: določili smo pogoje snemanja na AAS (pretok acetilena in zraka ter širino reže na uklonski mrežici), linearnost, LOD, LOQ, stabilnost umeritvene krivulje in ponovljivost. Vzorcem šestih tablet/praškov smo določili vsebnosti Mg in jih primerjali z deklarirano vrednostjo. V analiziranih vzorcih šumečih tablet smo preverili tudi homogenost porazdelitve Mg. Primerjavo smo naredili tudi z mineralnima vodama Donat in Radenska, ter ugotavljali ali lahko s pitjem le teh zadovoljimo povprečni dnevni vnos.

Secondary title: Determination of magnesium in dietary supplements
Secondary abstract: Various methods can be used to determine Mg in dietary supplements, such as: AAS or atomic absorption spectrometry or complexometric titration with EDTA. Before analyzing the samples, we optimized the method: we determined the recording conditions on the AAS (flow of acetylene, air flow and gap width on the slit width), linearity, LOD, LOQ, stability of the calibration curve and repeatability. Content of Mg was determined in six tablets/powders samples and results were compared to the declared value. The homogeneity of Mg distribution was checked in the analyzed effervescent tablet samples. We also made a comparison with the Donat and Radenska mineral waters, and we determined whether by drinking them we could satisfy the average daily intake.
