Abstract
Ob prilagoditvah pomoč in podpora invalidnim osebam omogočata avtonomijo in predstavljata način socialne vključenosti.

Regulation in the field of education for students with special needs at University of Maribor |
Secondary abstract: |
Paradigm of inclusive education in Slovenia means that a two-tier school system is no longer acceptable, since it divides children into two groups: "the disabled and the normal". The appropriate and fair is the common schooling system. The White Paper on education in the Republic of Slovenia (2011) has additionally brought significant changes. Each university in the Republic of Slovenia regulates the field of education for students with special needs based on adopted regulations. A number of students with special needs enrolled in faculties is increasing, and through the implementation of the adjustments at the macro and micro levels, they are enabled equal opportunities to study. Additionally, assistance and support for people with disabilities provide autonomy and represent a form of social inclusion. The University of Maribor regulates the field of education for students with special needs with the "Rules on Students with Disabilities and Specific Needs". During the academic year 2018/19, there were 60 students with special needs enrolled at the said university. Based on the research results, we conclude that the majority of adjustments are implemented at the University of Maribor. Moreover, numerous students use various forms of assistance and support during their studies. |
