Abstract

V uvodnem delu zaključnega dela sta predstavljeni anatomija in biomehanika kolena, kjer smo opisali celoten sklep, mišice in vezi, ki ga obdajajo.

Secondary title: Rehabilitation after reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (acl) in football players
Secondary abstract: Over the recent years, anterior cruciate ligament injury has become one of the main reasons for football players and other athletes to abandon their training routine. It is one of the more serious injuries as it demands a long-term rehabilitation. If we know the anatomical description of the knee and the origin of these injuries, the trainers can create a programme to prevent this type of knee injuries from occurring. The first part presents the anatomy and biomechanics of the knee, where we describe the entire knee joint, the surrounding muscles and ligaments. We present the most common knee injuries and its origins, symptoms and other signs of the injury as well; furthermore, we discuss how to reduce, or, in other words, prevent knee injuries. Next, we briefly describe the preparations for the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament. The main part of the paper focuses on different phases of rehabilitation after an operation. Next, we introduce the sport rehabilitation phase, during which we slowly prepare the football player to be able to sustain greater pressure and return to regular training with the ball. Lastly, we describe multiple tests which help determine the physical fitness of the football player. The purpose of the paper is to help athletes and people working in sports prevent these kinds of knee injuries and to offer support in the rehabilitation process and help the athletes return to training.
