Abstract

Družbeni mediji so postali pomemben del današnje družbe, še posebej mlajših generacij med katerimi so tudi osnovnošolski otroci iz Pomurja. Kljub temu, da sta njihov pojav in razvoj doprinesla veliko prednosti, se je potrebno zavedati tudi njihovih pasti, ki lahko močno vplivajo na uporabnike. Pričujoče magistrsko delo tako ugotavlja, kakšno je poznavanje pasti uporabe družbenih medijev med osnovnošolci v Pomurju. Najprej pregledamo literaturo, razjasnimo temeljne pojme in definiramo teoretični okvir. V nadaljevanju predstavimo sorodne študije in njihove ugotovitve ter izpostavimo njihove vrzeli v znanju. S pomočjo teoretičnega dela naloge se tako podrobneje seznanimo s temo raziskovanja in rezultati dosedanjih študij, kar nam pomaga pri načrtovanju raziskovalnega dela. V raziskovalnem delu izvedemo spletno anketo, katere rezultate statistično obdelamo in analiziramo. Ugotovimo, da je poznavanje pasti uporabe družbenih medijev treba obravnavati kot ločene konstrukte, na te pa različno vplivajo številni proučevani dejavniki. S pomočjo rezultatov ugotovimo, da se pomurski osnovnošolci njihovih pasti srednje dobro zavedajo. Pri odgovarjanju na raziskovalna vprašanja se opremo na empirične dokaze. Rezultati, dobljeni s pomočjo te študije, lahko prispevajo k boljšemu razumevanju raziskovane problematike in ustreznemu ozaveščanju, služijo pa lahko tudi nadaljnjim raziskovanjem o uporabi družbenih medijev.

Secondary title: Knowledge of Social Media Traps among Primary School Students in Pomurje
Secondary abstract: Social media have become an important part of today’s society, especially for the younger generations, including the primary school students of Pomurje. Although the emergence and development of social media have brought a lot of advantages, we should acknowledge their traps, which can strongly affect their users. The following master thesis explores the extent to which the primary school students in Pomurje are aware of the traps of social media usage. Firstly, we explore the literature, explain the basic concepts and define the theoretical framework. Further on, we present similar studies, their findings, and highlight where the knowledge is faulty. The theoretical part helps us explore the research topic and the existent findings in greater detail, which forms a base for the research part of the thesis. Within the research part, an online survey is conducted, while the results are statistically processed and analyzed. We conclude that the knowledge of social media traps should be treated as separate constructs, which are differently affected by numerous studied factors. The results help us establish that the primary school students of Pomurje are partially aware of social media traps. When answering research questions, we provide empirical proof. Results obtained through this study can contribute to a better understanding of the explored problematic and to raising awareness accordingly. Furthermore, they can be used for future research on the use of social media.
