Posebnost prehrane psov pri bolezni prebavil

Abstract

Bolezni prebavil se pri psih pojavljajo zelo pogosto in se kažejo z različnimi simptomi, katerih vzroke je težko pojasniti. Tovrstne bolezni imajo lahko več povzročiteljev, npr. zauživanje neprimerne krme ali tujkov, bakterijske ali virusne okužbe, zajedavci, alergije itd. Z ustrezno prehrano lahko le-te preprečimo ali jih omilimo. Krma, ki je slabše prebavljiva in ne vsebuje kakovostnih sestavin mnogo bolj obremeni pasja prebavila, saj se prebavlja dlje časa. Poleg tega jo mora pes zaužiti v večji količini, da lahko zadosti svojim potrebam. Zaradi neprestane preobremenjenosti prebavil s krmo slabše kakovosti se lahko razvijejo tudi določene motnje v delovanju prebavil. Pomembno je, da poznamo povzročitelja bolezenskega stanja prebavil, da se lahko pravilno lotimo »zdravljenja«.V diplomskem delu smo opisali hranljive snovi, ki so pomembne v pasji prehrani ter omenili njihove lastnosti in predstavili posebnosti v prehrani psov z boleznimi prebavil. V nadaljevanju smo opisali vzroke posameznih bolezni prebavil pri psih ter njihove posledice ter priporočila glede izbire krme in samega krmljenja. Na podlagi pregleda dostopne literature lahko zaključimo, da s prilagojeno prehrano psom z boleznimi prebavil lahko podaljšamo življenjsko dobo, izboljšamo kakovost življenja ter omilimo simptome posameznih prebavnih bolezni.

Secondary abstract:	Gastrointestinal diseases are very common amongst dogs and they are characterized by various disorders and unrelated causes. There are several causes of gastrointestinal disturbances, for example, the ingestion of unsuitable fodder or foreign matter, bacterial or viral infections, parasites, allergies, etc. With proper nutrition they can be prevented or mitigated. The feed, which is less digestible and does not contain quality ingredients, is much more burdened by the dog's digestive system because it is digested for a long time. In addition, the dog must consume it in a larger quantity so that it can meet its needs. Due to the constant overload of the gastrointestinal tract with poorer quality feed, certain digestive disorders can develop. It is important to know the producer of the gastrointestinal anomaly so that we can properly select the "treatment". In the B. Sc. Thesis we described individual basic nutrients, which are important in dog nutrition and introduced the particularities in dog nutrition with gastrointestinal diseases. Then we explained the causes of individual gastointestinal diseases and their consequences. Based on the review of available literature, we can suppose that with appropriately adapted diet we can extend the lifespan of dogs with gastrointestinal diseases, improve their life quality and alleviate the symptoms of those diseases.
