Abstract

Secondary title: Multi-dwelling building bill of quantities estimation using building information modelling
Secondary abstract: Building Information Modelling, is a technology by which we design, build, and manage construction processes and structures. The purpose of this final paper was to identify discrepancies between the quantities obtained from the BIM and the quantities from the bill of quantities. By comparing the quantities of the multi-dwelling building, we tried to determine whether the information model could replace the classical bill of quantities. The opening part includes introduction of BIM technology, its use, and importance in public institutions for its implementation. The main part of the final paper also describes the benefits of using BIM technologies in public procurement. The practical part of the thesis presents a comparison of the quantities of a multi-dwelling building obtained through the bill of quantities and the building information modelling. The quantities were compared and the accuracy of the BIM was determined using the 2D model.
