Abstract

Verbal-textual analysis of the talk shows on commercial Radio Hit and national Radio Slovenia (Val 202) |
Secondary abstract: |
Commercial radio stations which are funded by advertising are forced to please their listeners to survive. The forms of language should not be left to coincidence. It should be informal and conversitional, but still institutionalized. The analysis concludes that the presenters are approaching their listeners by using dialectal lexicon. On commercial stations, which have almost national coverage, listeners are directly addresed by presenters. The characteristics of spontaneous speech are for example discourse markers and simple syntax. Analysis of public services speech shows that different roles of media have also impact on the way how the audience is addressed. |
