Abstract

Analysis of sales performance of forest timber assorments in the Forestry cooperative of forest owners Pohorje - Kozjak |
Secondary abstract: |
Cooperative in Slovenia has a long tradition. Beginning goes to a year 1873 when the first cooperative law has been accepted. First forest cooperatives were made in 1918. Now there are 78 cooperatives for agriculture, forestry and fishing in Slovenia. That is 18.4 % of all slovenian cooperatives. One of the cooperatives in Slovenia is Gozdarska zadruga lastnikov gozdov Pohorje % Kozjak, which has been chosen to be analysed for success of selling forest timber assorments in a period from its beginning to year 2017, and analysis of customers satisfaction of price and overall working of the cooperative. Basics for analysis of success of sold items were reciepts of sold and purchased forest timber assorments and bilances of cooperatives financial situation. Overall satisfaction of members of the cooperative was analysed with special structured poll and interview with the director of cooperative. We found out that the cooperative was improving its trading with forest timber assorments and improved bought forest timber assorments for 47.6 % in the analysed period. The prices of bought and sold items were moving dependently on the quality of forest timber assorments and the success of cooperative was positive shows that the cooperative was making profits every year. Members of cooperative were in general very satisfied with the work of cooperative and were rating it 4.0 on Likar's scale. Main problem of it is low member number, competition of other buyers and not disciplined sellers. |
