Abstract

Diplomsko delo predstavlja stališča vzgojiteljic o vplivu zgodnjega učenja tujega jezika na jezikovno zmožnost otroka v prvem, maternem jeziku. V teoretičnem delu predstavljam razvoj otrokovega mišljenja in govora ter kritičen pogled sodobnih avtorjev na otrokovo mišljenje; katere so teorije o razvoju govora, kaj zajema pojem jezikovne zmožnosti, kakšna je stopnja otrokove jezikovne zmožnosti; predstavljeni so dejavniki govornega razvoja ter dejavniki, ki spodbujajo otrokov govorni razvoj v vrtcu; kako poteka jezikovna vzgoja v vrtcu; kaj je zgodnje učenje tujega jezika; kakšna je jezikovna politika Sveta Evrope in EU in katere so razlike in podobnosti pri učenju prvega, drugega in tretjega jezika; predstavljeni so tudi argumenti za in proti zgodnjemu učenju tujih jezikov. V empiričnem delu prikazujem rezultate anketnega vprašalnika za vzgojiteljice. Rezultati so pokazali, da večina vzgojiteljic meni, da je zgodnje učenje tujega jezika v vrtcu smiselno in da zgodnje učenje tujega jezika spodbudno vpliva na jezikovno zmožnost otroka v prvem jeziku.

Secondary abstract: My thesis represents stands of teachers about early foreign language teaching on child language ability in his native language. The theoretical part represents development of the child's thinking and speech and also critical look contemporary authors. The theoretical part represents theories of speech development, the concept of language ability, assessments of child development and storytelling. Further I represent factors of speech development and activities to promote it. I describe language education in kindergarten and definicion of early foreign language teaching. The theoretical part includes language policy of the Council of Europe and the European Union. I also represent differences and similarities in learning (of first, second and third language) and arguments for and against early foreign language teaching. The empirical part of the thesis gives questionnaire results. Results showed that most of teachers estimated early foreign language teaching in kindergarten for sensibly and also that early foreign language teaching have stimulating effect on child language ability in his native language.
