Povzetek

Večjezičnost je postala sestavni del učeče se družbe. Pojavile so se spremembe na tujejezičnem področju, ki jih pogojujejo družbene razmere. S tem pa so se spremenila tudi stališča vzgojiteljev in staršev. Magistrsko delo sestavljata teoretični in empirični del. V prvem delu je obravnavan otrokov razvoj. Podrobneje so predstavljeni: področja otrokovega razvoja, vpliv zgodnjega učenja tujega jezika na vsestranski razvoj predšolskega otroka in vloga odraslih pri otrokovem razvoju. Nato sta predstavljena tudi govorni razvoj in njegovi dejavniki. V nadaljevanju so v teoretičnem delu obravnavani še zgodnje učenje tujega jezika in različni vidiki o začetkih učenja tujega jezika. Teoretični del je sklenjen s poglavjem o značilnostih učenja in poučevanja tujega jezika v vrtcih, ki zaobjema evropske smernice, modele poučevanja tujih jezikov, cilje, vlogo vzgojitelja in njegove kompetence ter vlogo staršev. Empirični del je posvečen raziskavi, pri kateri rezultati in njihova analiza temeljijo na stališčih staršev in vzgojiteljev o pomenu zgodnjega učenja tujega jezika otrok v predšolskem obdobju. Vzorec zajema starše, ki imajo svoje otroke vključene v vrtec po vsej Sloveniji in vzgojitelje v teh vrtcih. Podatki, zbrani z anketnim vprašalnikom, so bili obdelani s pomočjo programa SPSS. Ugotovljeno je, da si starši in vzgojitelji z višjo izobrazbo prizadevajo za zgodnejši začetek učenja tujega jezika kot starši in vzgojitelji z nižjo izobrazbo. Oboji ocenjujejo zgodnje učenje tujega jezika kot pomembnega za otrokov celostni razvoj. Slednje se ocenjuje za pozitivno, saj je ob tem ugotovljeno, da starši in vzgojitelji visoko vrednotijo koristi učenja tujega jezika v predšolskem obdobju.

Sekundarni naslov: The viewpoint of parents and educators about the meaning of learning foreign languages in childhood in the period of preschool
Sekundarni povzetek: Multilingualism became a component of the learning society. Then occurred some changes in the field of foreign languages which depend on the conditions in the society. And so also the point of view at the educators and parents changed. The master's thesis consists of a theoretic and an empiric part. In the first part the development of a child is discussed about. More in detail are presented: the fields of the child's development, the influence of early learning a foreign language to the many sided development of a preschool child and the role of adults at the child's education. Then also the speech development and its factors are presented. Furthermore, there is discussed the early learning of a foreign language in the theoretic part and also the different points of view about learning a foreign language. The theoretic part is closed with the chapter of the characteristics of learning and teaching a foreign language in kindergarten, which covers the European directives, learning models of foreign languages, goals, the role of the educator and the competencies as well as the role of the parents. The empiric part is dedicated to research, where the results and the analyses are based on the position of the parents and the educators about the meaning of early learning languages to children in preschool years. The pattern covers parents, who have their children integrated in kindergartens in all over Slovenia and also the educators in these kindergartens. The data, acquired with the questionnaire, were processed by means of the program SPSS. It was found out, that parents and educators with a higher education endeavour for an earlier beginning of learning foreign languages than parents and educators with a low level of education. Both value the early learning of a foreign language as crucial for the entire development of a child. The last one is assessed positively, because it was found out, that parents and educators highly appreciate the benefits of learning a foreign language in preschool years.
