Abstract

Čas, v katerega smo umestili kraje na Murskem polju, ima burno zgodovino. Okolico so venomer pestile kuge in požari, poplavljala je reka Mura, posledice teh tegob in ozkoglednosti ljudi pa so bila čarovniška preganjanja. Pogosti so bili vpadi osmanskih Turkov in upornih krucev iz Ogrske. Prav v tem turbulentnem obdobju je nastal vir, ki je osnova magistrskega dela: Zapisnik gospoščine Branek za trg Ljutomer. Celoten zapisnik obsega obdobje med letoma 1694 ter 1759 in je izjemen vir za preučevanje odnosov med lastnikom trga, gospoščino Branek, z njenim zemljiškim gospodom, in trgom samim. Gospostvo je trg in trški svet v njegovih potrebah in zahtevah marsikdaj omejevalo, kar je zaviralo njuno nemoteno delovanje oziroma razvoj. Tako trg kot drugi gospoščinski podložniki so se večkrat obrnili na Notranjeavstrijsko vlado, ki je barona večkrat opozorila na njegove dolžnosti. V magistrskem delu je transkribiran in analiziran zadnji del zapisnika, natančneje za leta od 1700 do 1759. Zajema zahteve, prošnje in potrjevanja mandatov trškega sveta, tožbe med podložniki gospoščine, protokole zemljiškega gospostva in dedovanja potomcev na podlagi zapuščinskega inventarja. Zapisnik dovolj nazorno prikaže delovanje gospoščine in odnos le-te do trga in predvsem njen avtokratski položaj, s katerim je narekovala usodo ljudi in delovanje podložnega trga ter okolice.

Secondary title: The restless Mura river field and the Kuruc incursions in the early modern period
Secondary abstract: The time, in which we have placed areas of the Mura River Field, is renowned for its turbulent history. The plague and fires were constantly present in the surrounding area; the Mura River was flooding, while witch-hunts were the consequences of these hardships and narrow-mindedness of people. Invasions of the Ottoman Turks and rebellious Hungarian kuruc armies were common. It was during this turbulent period that a source, which forms the basis of this master's thesis, was created: Zapisnik gospoščine Branek za trg Ljutomer (The Record of the Branek dominion).The entire Record covers the period between 1694 and 1759 and is a remarkable source for the study of the relations between the market town owner, the Branek dominion, with its property owner, and the market town itself. The dominion was often limiting the market town in its needs and demands, and this was limiting its smooth functioning or development. Both, the market town as well as other dominion subjects repeatedly appealed to the Ministry of the Interior of the Austrian Government, which warned the baron repeatedly about his duties. The master's thesis transcribes and analyses the last part of the Record, specifically the years from 1700 to 1759. It covers the requirements, requests, and validation of the mandates of the market town Council, lawsuits between the dominion subjects, the protocols of the land dominion, and inheritance of descendants based on a legacy inventory. The Record clearly illustrates functioning of the dominion, its relation to the market town, and, above all, its autocratic position, by which it dictated the fate of people and operation of the subordinate market town and the surrounding area.
